Ukrainian Literature in Times of War
This conversation brings together Iryna Tsilyk, Ukrainian writer and filmmaker, Lotte Jansen, Danish literary translator, and Nataliia Popovych, Head of Ukraine House in Denmark, for a reflection on the challenges and responsibilities of Ukrainian literature during wartime. Moderated by Jon Kyst, the discussion focuses on the priorities of translation and international representation, as well as on preserving collective and personal memory — including the legacy of writer Viktoriia Amelina, a Ukrainian novelist and war crimes researcher, whose voice continues to inspire global understanding of Ukraine’s story.
