Iryna Tsilyk

Ukrainian writer, poet and filmmaker. She gained international recognition with her documentary The Earth Is Blue as an Orange, which won the “Directing Award: World Cinema Documentary” at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival.Iryna Tsilyk has authored multiple books of poetry, prose and children’s literature. Since the full‑scale invasion of Ukraine she has been active in cultural diplomacy, using film, poetry and essays to reflect on everyday life in wartime, memory and identity.
